These Vegan Chickpea Tortilla Nachos are your go-to healthy snack to dip in chilies, guacamole, hummus… They are crispy and golden, just like regular tortilla chips, but with a more satisfying and rich feeling. These Tortilla Nachos are high in protein and naturally Gluten-Free

Wholesome Ingredients for these Vegan Chickpea Tortilla Nachos:

  • Chickpea flour: Protein and fiber
  • Oat flour: If you want to make this recipe Gluten-Free make sure to use certified Gluten-Free oats
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil: Hight quality fat
  • Warm Water
  • Baking Powder
  • Sea salt & Pepper

This recipe is very practical and versatile because you can add the spices you like and dip them in Guacamole, Hummus, or even in Onion dip like in the photo below!

How to make these Vegan Chickpea Tortilla Nachos:

  1. Mix dry ingredients:  In a large bowl mix the flours, salt, baking powder, and pepper.
  2. Add the olive oil to the mixing bowl.
  3. Mix with your hands until the dough is crumbly.
  4. Add the warm water and knead. Do not overwork the dough. Make a ball and set it aside.
  5. Preheat oven to 180°C.
  6. Place the ball between two sheets of parchment paper. Using a rolling pin, roll out as thin as possible. TIP: The thinner the dough, the crispier nachos will be.
  7. Remove the top layer of parchment paper and cut the dough into triangles. Place the triangles onto a baking sheet and place them in the oven.
  8. Bake for 15 minutes until the nachos are golden around the edges.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup Chickpea flour (190 g)
  • 1/2 cup Oat flour (50 g)
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp Sea salt
  • 1 tsp Pepper
  • 1/4 cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil (46 g)
  • 1/4 cup 1 Tbsp Warm Water (75 g)

Instructions

  1. Mix dry ingredients:  In a large bowl mix the flours, salt, baking powder, and pepper.
