Easy 100% Whole Wheat Naan Bread | Vegan & No Yeast

Do you love Naan Bread and want to enjoy it more often but in a healthier and more nutritious way? Try this Whole Wheat Naan Bread with No Yeast, Easy and Quick! Only 5 Ingredients needed! High in fiber, wholesome and Curry, and Dahl friendly.

How to Make Easy and Vegan 100% Whole Wheat Naan Bread:

  1. Prepare all the ingredients: Whole wheat flour, unsweetened plant-based yogurt, unsweetened plant-based milk, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, and salt.
  2. In a large bowl add the dry ingredients and combine: flour, salt, sugar, baking soda, and baking powder.
  3. Add wet ingredients: unsweetened plant-based yogurt (we used soy), and unsweetened plant-based milk (we used soy).
  4. Combine all the ingredients.
  5. Make a ball using your hands and set it aside for 20 minutes.
  6. Divide the dough into 4 and roll out each piece into a rough oval shape, about 2 mm thick by transferring the balls onto a floured surface.
  7. Preheat a large pan on medium-high heat and add a little bit of EVOO (Extra Virgin Olive Oil).
  8. Grill each Naan Bread on each side for about a minute, or until it’s golden and bubbly. Repeat with each Naan, and enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 2 cup whole wheat flour (260 g)
  • ½ cup unsweetened plain plant-based yogurt (120 mL)
  • ¼ cup + 2 tbsp unsweetened plant-based milk (90 mL)
  • ½ Tbsp sugar (7 g)
  • 1 tsp baking powder (4 g)
  • ¼ tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp salt
